immediate direct-hire position opening for a
Metallurgist. The qualified candidate will perform
extensive quality measures and testing in a precision
forging environment.
Responsibilities:
Inspects products to verify
conformance to specifications and directs setup
and adjustments of machines
Recommends measurements to
improve production methods, equipment performance
and quality of product
Suggests changes in working
conditions and use of equipment to increase
efficiency of shop, department or work crew
Analyzes and resolves work
problems or assists workers in solving work
problems
Estimates requisitions and
inspects materials
Set-up for quarterly
furnace calibrations
Tensile testing
Requirements:
2-4 years related
experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience
Ability to read, analyze
and interpret general business periodicals,
professional journals, technical procedures and
drawings or governmental regulations
Prior Metallurgy experience
Capable of solving
practical problems and dealing with a variety of
concrete variables in situations where only
limited standardization exists and interpreting a
variety of instructions furnished in written,
oral, diagram or schedule form
