The Steel Division of Packaging Systems Europe develops and manufactures a complete portfolio of products and solutions for steel strapping. This includes hand tools, standard machines, installations and a comprehensive range of steel strapping and seals for diverse industrial applications. 
To further strengthen the Steel Competence Center & Innovation Team at the Steel Strap Production sites in Dinslaken (Germany) and Burseryd (Sweden), Packaging Systems Europe has an exciting career opportunity available for a talented and experienced : 

European Product Manager - Steel Division - Packaging Systems Europe


•  Key purpose of your role is to improve profitability, drive results and strengthen market position of the PSE Steel Division by developing and maintaining a balanced product portfolio with focus on steel packaging and strapping. •  Based on business intelligence, market/competitor analysis and close interaction with key industry actors, you will develop and implement roadmaps and supply-, pricing- and marketing-strategies for defined product groups together with the PSE Steel Division Management Team. • As owner of the global product plan & portfolio you will monitor products throughout the whole product life cycle and you will provide technical support, market information and training to Key Account Managers and European Direct Accounts. • You will ensure that necessary quality assurance approvals are acquired for all product lines. • In close collaboration with Corporate Marketing you will be responsible for marketing- and other sales-supporting materials. • You will lead and support product- and application development and operational process improvements. • You will report directly to the General Manager of the PSE Steel Division.


• To qualify for this role you have a higher degree in Engineering, ideally in Material Science/Metallurgy or equivalent experience, preferably complemented with additional training in Business Administration or Marketing. • You have a relevant and successful experience in Product Management, Technical Support, Product-& Application Development or Sales & Marketing, preferably in the steel-, packaging- or related industries. • You are able to initiate and drive the development of the product portfolio with a very strong sense of ownership, customer focus and an excellent understanding of the (route to) market.• You are a result oriented, open minded and dedicated team-player with a strategic view and real improvement awareness. • You are skilled in market- and
(product line) profitability analysis, time-management, planning and priority-setting. • You have good communication and inter-personal skills and you are strong in championing changes and innovation.• You have high proficiency in MS Office. • You are fluent in English with additional languages (especially German or Swedish) as a plus. • This position will be based in Germany or Sweden and requires willingness to travel on a regular basis.
